About me and my therapy practice
It takes courage to ask for help.
As a skilled integrative Counselling Therapist I offer a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space to gently explore the difficulties that can cause us pain and suffering. In my practice I use an individualised, integrative, compassionate neurodiversity and 2SLGBTQI+ affirming approach to empower my clients, develop skills and utilise the resources within to help face and resolve life’s challenges.
I work with a broad range of issues which include supporting personal development, cultural transitions, couples and relationship issues, sexual issues, empowering change, life stages, coping skills and addictions, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, bereavement, redundancy and work related problems, separation and divorce.
I obtained my BA(Hons) Counselling Studies and MSc Psychology from the University of Plymouth in the UK, where I also completed my practicum training to become a Counselling Therapist and Clinical Supervisor. I have worked within and across different cultures in different professional roles throughout my life.I currently maintain private counselling practices in both the UK and Canada.
I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society (GMBPsS). Additionally, in my work with couples I use Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and I am a Gottman Seven Principles Leader.
