About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes life can feel a little out of control and unbalanced somehow, when your wellbeing has reached the bottom of your priority pile again. Maybe this is how you are feeling right now. If you would like to be heard and find a space to explore what you are experiencing from the comfort of your own home, using online or telephone counselling, then I would love to help you. Equally I am now offering face to face work too.
I trained at Waverley Abbey College and was awarded a Diploma of Higher Education in Counselling from Middlesex University. I have since gained a Certificate in Online and Telephone Counselling too.
I work as an integrative counsellor and so this means that some of the work I do will be focused on the past. Some will include how our thoughts, emotions, behaviours and bodies are connected and specifically what you want to focus on.
I am also fully committed to offering a welcoming, supportive and inclusive service.
Practice description
I chose Saam Counselling Services as the name of my practice because the word Saam means together in Africaans and I believe that this is a true reflection of what a successful counselling relationship looks like.
I have experience of supporting clients dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, bereavement, relationship issues and change.
I now work primarily with adults who are mourning a loss though. By enabling clients to share their stories, I can help them begin to process the impact of their grief. Loss can present in many ways and it's consequences are equally varied. It is an individual path on journeys we all take at different times, which if you wanted me to, I could accompany you on. I also serve as a volunteer counsellor for Stafford and District Bereavement and Loss Support Service.
I hope that you will find Saam Counselling Services a helpful resource, providing you with the opportunity to pause, reflect and take the time, within a secure environment, to consider what your needs are. You matter!
My first session
Having a conversation on the phone can be a helpful starting point to establishing whether you would like us to work together.
I can then offer you an assessment session at the reduced rate of £25. During this time we can explore your previous experience, current needs and what your expectations for counselling are.
If Saam Counselling Services is not right for you however then I will assist you to access alternative support if this would meet your need more effectively.
