Practice description

How Can I Support You?

Are you looking for less stress in your life? In your relationships with loved ones? Yourself or others? Do you wish you could communicate better with those that matter? Maybe putting emotional regulation skills into practice is difficult for you?

Or do you feel heartbroken due to a break up or loss? Perhaps due to trauma or addiction your relationship with past experiences stand in the way of living life to its fullest potential?

Maybe due to anxiety or anger it feels your life is spiralling out of control? And you aren’t sure what to do next? Who to speak to? Trust? If you feel stuck, lost or in pain – I am here to offer non-judgemental and compassionate support so that together we can create positive changes in your life.

I’m Yasmin Shaheen-Zaffar (She/Her) an online neurodivergent trauma, addictions and relationship counsellor and coach accredited with the BACP. I work with young people over the age of 16, emerging adults, students, adults and couples.

I am also a parenting mentor working remotely online available across the U.K and Internationally.

I hold the belief the way we relate to ourselves, our needs, others and the world is the key to a peaceful contented life. I am very much interested in relationships in all forms.

Being Neurodivergent

Personally I can fully empathise with the challenges it can bring - impulsivity and risk taking.

Understanding the disorganisation and overwhelm - whether it's the constant searching for keys,  unpaid parking fines or always apologising. Bringing you close to losing control. I can't "cure" your learning differences but I can hold a safe space for you to work through the stress & help you put support systems in place to reduce the stress in your life.

Health Insurance

I work with a number of health insurance companies and accept AXA, BUPA and Vitality

Training

  • Certified ADHD Practitioner Strength Based
  • Trauma & Stress Studies 7 month Certificate Trauma Foundation
  • Therapeutic Counselling
  • Neurofeedback
