About me and my therapy practice

Supporting Neurodivergent Individuals

I help neurodivergent individuals nurture emotional regulation skills, empowering them to communicate more effectively and advocate for their unique needs with confidence.

By creating a safe and inclusive space, I tailor my approach to honor your strengths, challenges, and experiences. Together, we’ll explore practical strategies to enhance self-awareness, manage emotions, and build resilience, helping you navigate relationships, work, and life with greater ease.

If you’re ready to embrace your neurodivergence as a source of strength and develop the tools to thrive, I’m here to support you every step of the way. Let’s start this journey together.

Practice description

I specialise in supporting neurodivergent individuals to develop emotional regulation skills that enhance communication and empower them to advocate for their needs confidently.

My practice is rooted in empathy, inclusivity, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges of neurodivergence, informed by my own lived experience.

Why Focus on Communication and Emotional Regulation?

Effective communication fosters understanding, reduces conflict, and helps you express yourself authentically, ensuring your needs are met. Emotional regulation is key to managing triggers and engaging with others confidently and effectively.

How I Can Help You

In our sessions, I incorporate visual tools and psychoeducation to provide practical strategies that help you:

  • Build confidence in expressing thoughts and feelings.
  • Navigate difficult conversations with clarity and empathy.
  • Improve listening skills for better mutual understanding.
  • Manage emotional triggers and regulate your nervous system.

What to Expect

Our work together is collaborative and tailored to your unique strengths and challenges. Using creative, accessible approaches, I’ll help you uncover practical techniques and mindset shifts to connect effectively, advocate for your needs, and thrive.

Lived Experience

My insights are enriched by personal experiences, including:

  • ADHD, Dyslexia, and Dyspraxia.
  • Surviving childhood parental loss and bereavement by suicide.
  • Navigating interfaith and cultural relationships.

If you’re ready to grow and enhance your communication skills, let’s begin this journey together. Reach out today to get started!

My first session

After Booking Your First Session

Once you book an online session via Zoom, you’ll receive an automated email with your receipt and Zoom link.

You can opt in for SMS reminders at the time of booking. Email reminders are mandatory and will be sent 24 hours, 2 hours, and 10 minutes before your appointment.

Before Your First Session

If you’d like, you can fill out a short, optional questionnaire to provide additional information. This can help me gain insight into your expectations and needs. You’re free to skip any questions you’re not comfortable answering.

Getting Started Questionnaire

All information shared is confidential.

Your First Session

It’s normal to feel a bit nervous - it’s like meeting someone new. This session is about getting to know you, though we can dive straight into your concerns if that’s your preference.

I work in a person-centered, integrative way, incorporating creativity if desired. I value psychoeducation and aim to leave you with at least one shared strategy to take away.

Unscheduled Interruptions

If the internet disconnects, I’ll call you using the contact number you provided.

If your battery charge is lost, I’ll wait on Zoom until the session end time. If you’re unable to log back on, I’ll follow up with an email.

Safety During Sessions

Before each session, I’ll confirm your location. This is to ensure your safety in case of an emergency (e.g., if you faint or require urgent assistance), allowing me to alert emergency services if needed.
