I aim to help you explore what it's like to be you in your world through the lens of compassion. Whatever issues or stories you bring, the best way for both of us to understand your pain is through cultivating self- compassion. This means accepting who you are in this very moment. This can seem like a strange idea if you want to change. But change is more likely with the mindful approach of being with what is. This doesn't mean that I won't gently challenge you or recognise that you might feel stuck. But it is my intention that I will be grounded in acceptance. In this way you might be more open and honest with yourself and you can then really heal. These are not things that are taught in any way but rather it's an inbuilt approach. We can look at your past, your family and upbringing, to recognise what brought you to where you are today. We can explore your relationships with others. The sessions are led by what you bring. Perhaps you are at a stage where you have already understood your anger towards others and now want to learn to forgive and nurture your ability to give compassion. I work from my home in BS4. It's a comfortable, cosy and confidential room at the front of my house. On our first session you can tell me what is troubling you and what you would like to explore going forward. I also offer 30 minute online sessions for £25. You can ask for these to include some mindfulness guided meditation. We can chat about what is comfortable for you as it will cater to your unique needs.
I also offer online vocal healing sessions involving chakra tones ( long notes, one for each chakra ), chanting and mindfulness. The aim is to sing together but I will facilitate the structure and you can also choose to be the listener to receive healing as you would in a sound healing session. Singing is a very powerful way to come into balance and calm down the chattering brain. You do not have to be a good singer.
