I currently only provide online therapy via video call. If you have any questions about this please do not hesitate to contact me. I have found that this is an incredibly beneficial way for many clients who need the flexibility of being able to work from anywhere around the world to in their own home. I currently work Saturday, Sunday, Monday & Tuesday.

About me and my therapy practice

Sometimes we are confronted with situations that we find distressing or unable to manage alone. More bluntly, sometimes you feel utterly rubbish and you just need someone to talk to! Counselling can provide you with a confidential space to explore your experiences and feelings in a way which is different from that of a conversation with a friend.

As an experienced counsellor, I can offer both long and shorter term sessions via online video calls. I work within an Integrative Humanistic framework giving us the freedom to work in a way that is lead by you and your needs/wants from therapy.

I am always happy to have a free initial conversation to answer any questions, discuss my role as a counsellor including my duties and limitations, and generally help you on your counselling journey whether it is with myself or someone else.

Practice description

Having worked in the mental health field for over a decade, I started my counselling training in 2014. Alongside an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling I have a BSc Hons in Psychology and Child Development.

I have worked within a variety of settings including, inpatient acute settings, Community mental health, forensics/prisons and rape crisis centres. I have worked for the NHS, Private and Charity sectors.

As a Humanistic Integrative counsellor, I am able to work with a variety of approaches to ensure the best fit for my clients. I always say to clients not to worry about the therapeutic approach too much, as the most important part about therapy is the therapeutic relationship co-created; underpinned by safe and healthy boundaries, understanding and transparency.

The thing I enjoy most about working with clients is seeing their growth in their self awareness, compassion for themselves and the positive changes they make to their own lives through our work together.

My first session

I offer all clients a free half hour video call to assess whether I am the appropriate therapist, and to check that we are able to work together. Following this call, if you would like to work together the following session would be a 50 minute video call and we will be able to look a bit deeper into what has brought you to therapy and look at the work we can expect to do together.

I believe finding the right therapist for you is like finding a the right pair of jeans! Sometimes it can be a challenge to find the right fit, so don't be scared to contact a few counsellors for an initial conversation to find the right one for you.
