About me and my therapy practice
Counseling provides a secure space for you to explore challenging aspects of your life. My objective is to create the right conditions for us to navigate this journey together. I believe that establishing a trusting relationship is paramount in therapy. Once that foundation is built, we can collaboratively address the difficulties you're experiencing, always respecting and moving at your own pace.
My journey into trauma work began during my time in a drugs and alcohol service, where I discovered that many clients with addiction issues had underlying trauma experiences. This realisation fueled my interest in trauma-focused interventions. Subsequently, I extended my expertise to working with the parents and guardians of sexually abused children.
Professionally, I am qualified as a psychotherapeutic counselor, psychotherapist, and EMDR therapist. Currently enrolled in my third year of doctoral training as a trainee counseling psychologist. I also hold a master's degree in psychology.
In my current role within the NHS, I specialise in working with clients with personality difficulties and more severe mental health issues. Additionally, I have a special interest in helping clients heal from narcissistic abuse in all its forms, whether from parents or partners. While my specialties encompass childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence, rape, sexual violence, and addiction, my experience extends beyond these areas to cover a wide range of presenting problems. Although I am based in New Eltham, I also work online. Feel free to reach out to schedule an initial consultation and determine if I am the right fit for you.
Practice description
As a qualified psychotherapeutic counselor, psychotherapist, and EMDR therapist currently pursuing doctoral training as a counseling psychologist, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our sessions.
My approach is grounded in creating a trusting therapeutic relationship, essential for the exploration of difficult life experiences. I believe in tailoring our sessions to your unique needs, ensuring a personalised and holistic therapeutic journey.
Having worked extensively in the NHS, specifically in secondary care with clients facing personality difficulties and severe mental health issues, I offer a depth of understanding and skill in addressing complex challenges. My areas of specialisation include childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence, rape, sexual violence, addiction, and a particular focus on helping clients heal from narcissistic abuse, be it from parents or partners.
My practice extends beyond geographical boundaries, with the majority of sessions conducted online for your convenience. Whether you're seeking support for a specific issue or a broader exploration of your life, I invite you to reach out and schedule an initial consultation. Together, we can determine if my therapeutic approach aligns with your needs, and embark on a collaborative journey towards healing and growth.
My first session
In our initial session, I will guide you through an assessment questionnaire and take the time to address any questions you may have about my therapeutic approach. This comprehensive assessment will span a full 50-minute session, and the regular fee applies. This investment is intentional, allowing both of us to gain insight into whether we are well-suited for a meaningful and ongoing therapeutic relationship. Your comfort and confidence in our collaboration are paramount, and this session serves as an important foundation for our potential journey together.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a trauma-informed therapist and supervisor with a passion for guiding individuals through their healing journey. Specialising in trauma therapy, I offer personalised support tailored to each client's unique needs. With a deep commitment to compassion, empowerment, and ethical practice, I provide a safe and inclusive space for clients to explore and grow. Through my integrated realational approach and extensive experience, I empower clients and supervisees alike to navigate challenges, find meaning, and foster resilience.
Practice description
I offer trauma-informed supervision tailored for trauma specialist therapists, emphasising the three-staged trauma model:
Education, Stabilisation & Safety
Processing, Remembering & Mourning
Meaning, Reconnection & Integration
Drawing from extensive experience and valuable knowledge in trauma therapy, I provide a rich and insightful supervisory experience. With a deep understanding of the complexities inherent in trauma work, I guide supervisees through each stage of the trauma model with expertise and empathy.
In supervision, I prioritise education, support, and accountability, recognising their pivotal roles in clinical development. I believe in fostering a collaborative and empowering supervisory relationship, where supervisees feel safe to explore challenges, deepen their understanding, and cultivate their therapeutic skills.
My integrated approach to supervision incorporates various modalities and techniques, yet I place particular emphasis on relational dynamics, as I believe in the transformative power of authentic connection and attunement in the therapeutic process.
By leveraging my experience, knowledge, and relational approach, I aim to empower supervisees to navigate the complexities of trauma work with confidence, compassion, and resilience, ultimately enhancing the quality of care they provide to their clients.
