About me and my therapy practice
I offer short or long-term online therapy sessions customised to your needs and financial situation. Sessions in the evenings from 4-8pm are available. All of my sessions are on Zoom, Teams or via phone.
Sometimes, short-term therapy is enough to get you through a crisis or move towards a goal. I have experience working to a time-limited deadline and many clients prefer having a package of a certain number of sessions to work towards a specific point.
Certain problems run deeper. Longer term work can help to get to the root causes of a behaviour or feeling and stop the problem ever happening again. For these issues, we can work in a more open-ended way where we set the goal and agree to work towards it and then keep going until it has been met. We will review our work as we go, making sure we are still working on goals that you feel are important.
Sessions are 50 minutes long and can be arranged individually or in packages of 5 sessions (with a discount for block bookings). We would try to meet once per week, at a regular time.
All sessions are online via Zoom unless you would prefer to work without video in which case, phone sessions can be arranged.
I am registered with Aviva, Axa, Bupa, Cigna and Evernorth, Vitality, and WPA and can directly bill these insurance providers. Please contact me for further information.
Practice description
Feeling Overwhelmed or Exhausted? You're Not Alone
In today’s challenging world, it’s natural to feel stretched, overwhelmed, or simply exhausted. It can be hard to see a way through. Taking time to talk about how you're feeling and understanding its impact on your life is a valuable first step toward relief.
As a therapist, I have been described as warm, supportive, and even funny, but also direct and challenging when needed. Once we set a goal, I am relentless in helping you achieve it. I draw on a wealth of experience from four degrees, numerous postgraduate clinical courses, and thousands of hours spent working with clients.
We usually begin by focusing on the present, discussing your current challenges and identifying what can be changed now to bring quick improvements. This may include addressing any automatic thoughts or behaviours that are not serving you. Sometimes, these present difficulties stem from past experiences, so we may also explore deeper patterns or ways of thinking that are no longer working for you. Together, we’ll create a plan to help you move forward.
I work with a variety of issues, including:
Anxiety and related issues
Depression and feelings of being down
Low self-esteem and feelings of being down
Stress management, sustainable routines, and self-care
Life fatigue, including a lack of motivation, drive, or clarity about the future
Men’s issues, such as coping with emotions, dating, and navigating modern life
I have also developed a particular focus on helping women who find it difficult to deal with men in their lives.
As a fully qualified and insured Accredited member of the BACP, I work integratively, blending person-centred, CBT, and psychodynamic approaches, alongside psychotherapeutic coaching techniques like solution-focused coaching.

My first session
Our initial session will be free of charge, offering an opportunity to explore your current situation and identify what’s troubling you.
Together, we’ll clarify what you want to change and decide if we’re a good fit to work together. This session is also for me to assess whether I believe I can help you. Typically, it takes place via Zoom, Teams, or over the phone.
During this time, we’ll dive into your issue, and I’ll gather a detailed history of the problem. You’ll do most of the talking, after all, no one understands your experience better than you, but I’ll ask plenty of questions to ensure I get a full picture of what’s going on.
Together, we’ll identify any patterns in behaviours, thoughts, or beliefs that might be holding you back. We may even address some of these patterns during the session to provide immediate relief, if possible.
At the end of the session, we’ll discuss what our future work could look like if you decide to continue. You’ll leave with a clear sense of what to expect in future sessions. If I feel my services aren't the best fit for your needs, I may offer alternative suggestions or provide resources to support you.
There’s no obligation to continue unless you feel confident and ready to move forward.
