About me and my therapy practice
My name is Colin, and I am an experienced Person-Centred Counsellor, based in East Kilbride.
Attending counselling can seem overwhelming, which is why I offer a compassionate, safe space based on trust and kindness, where your needs can be met and we can explore your feelings and emotions, leading to positive change in your life.
Over the years I have gained extensive counselling experience in both private practice and as a school counsellor, where adults and young people attend with a range of concerns including anxiety, low self-esteem, anger, ADHD, school-related concerns, loss and grief.
In order to get to know you and ensure I am the Counsellor best suited for you, I offer a free 30 minute phone or Zoom call to discuss your needs and discuss what you would like to achieve from counselling.
Additional Experience
As someone who has worked in industry for many years, it was the tragic loss of a friend that took me on the path to becoming a counsellor.
This gave me very personal insight into the great need for emotional and mental health support, and is something I care about deeply.
In addition to my many years of counselling experience I also bring my life experience to each session, including my time volunteering in the charity sector supporting some of the most vulnerable people in society.
Best Wishes
Colin
