About me and my therapy practice
I am a relational integrative therapist which means that I have been trained in a range of techniques such as Psychodynamic, Person-centred, Gestalt, CBT and Mindfulness.
This means that I can work with people in a way that suits them and their current situation.
I don't believe that people need fixing but instead that when provided with a non-judgemental environment and someone who can sit with difficult emotions, people can get to where they want to be and work through times of feeling stuck.
The therapy I offer looks at the here and now whilst acknowledging the impact that the past has.
Practice description
Counselling offers a way to help you to understand your life and relationships, and build upon your own resources to find a way through. It is a space where you can safely bring your feelings and difficulties without expectation or judgement.
The relationship with a therapist can help people to understand what is happening in their life and relationships, and identify resources to move forward. I draw from a variety of different modalities and tailor therapy for your needs
Counselling is collaborative work, and we can look together at what may be holding you back from getting what you want from your life, and help you move in a way that feels positive for you.
My first session
I offer a complimentary 15-30 minute initial phone call during which we can explore your reasons for coming to therapy and establish if we are suited to work together.
I offer both time limited and open ended counselling both of which include regular reviews of the work. We would see each other on a weekly basis at the same day and time, online.
