About me and my therapy practice

Life can be wonderful but can present us with challenges that we don’t know how manage. Sometimes it can help to talk to someone impartial about how you’re feeling and look at these challenges together through a different lens to gain some clarity.

My objective is to offer you a safe and confidential space in which to process your thoughts and feelings without judgement or conditions, and with empathy. I like to work in a collaborative way; think of it as walking along side you and lending a listening ear. The intention is for you to gain clarity and perhaps make changes, or to re-focus on whatever is troubling you. This can enable you to reach your potential or to feel better about yourself and life in general.

I’ve been practicing since 2016 and my background is primarily in health and social care. My experience includes working with people experiencing cancer, or their family members.  The work often encompasses loss, bereavement, and working together to  develop coping strategies.  I have also worked with young & adult carers, and older adults.

I’m an integrative counsellor and my core approach is person centred. This means that you are the centre of the work, and you take the lead, with my help. In other words, our work is all about you. I can’t give advice or fix ‘the problem’, however, I can help you explore your emotions and whatever you wish to spotlight.

I practice and have an interest in holistic and alternative therapies including mindfulness, meditation & yoga.

I am a registered member with the BACP.

Practice description

I can offer sessions via phone or video call.  There's also the option of doing face-to-face sessions in the Waltham Forest area.

Initially, we can have a free 15 minute phone chat to find out if we're going to be a good fit for each other.  Then, if we decide to continue, we can agree a plan of the work.  For example, number of sessions required, day & time, etc.

I can offer a reduced fee for trainee counsellors, students or anyone on a low income.
