Practice description
How I can help
I believe that in the same way we have physical first aid kits, we should all have emotional first aid kits too. When we cut our finger, we reach for a plaster. So, what do we reach for when we are experiencing emotional distress?
I understand that people from all walks of life will face adversity at some point and when that point comes, they will need to have an emotional first aid kit to cope. Not everybody has that kit, but I can help you to create and fine-tune it in order to work through whatever you are facing.
I will support and walk alongside you whilst encouraging self-awareness, growth and development to build a more fulfilling life for you and, consequently, those closest to you.
The way I work
I am approachable, empathetic and warm, all qualities imperative to creating a safe and confidential space for you to open up and work through any issues you are facing without judgement.
As a person-centred counsellor, I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and it is important that we work together to help you find a way to move forward. You will be at the centre of every session.
I understand that no two people’s journeys will be the same and not everyone will work in the same way. I will actively seek out feedback throughout the course of our work together to ensure that you feel you are getting the support that you need.
I offer client sessions either online via Microsoft Teams or over the telephone.
My first session
I offer a free 20-minute telephone or video consultation to gain a further understanding of your circumstances and to get a feel of whether we can work together.
If we both agree to move forward, we will then arrange a time for your first appointment.
