About me and my therapy practice
I am a registered and experienced counsellor, an accredited member of the BACP with experience of working with a variety of issues and age groups, as well as over twenty years working with young people in education. I offer both long term and time limited counselling in a situation where we can work together on many challenges that you may be facing. I work both online and in person with adults and young people.
Counselling can help by exploring some of the roots of present day difficulties and looking at new ways of self acceptance and relating to others. Sometimes it can explore a feeling that something is just 'not right' and you are struggling to connect with others or make the most of opportunities. I have experience in helping people through feelings of loss, or coping with changes in their lives.
I have also worked with those who feel they need to process past experience and trauma in order to move on successfully. In my experience, one of the most important features of one to one counselling is the ability to have a positive experience of relating to others and, the most important factor, allowing the chance of being listened to and understood.
Practice description
At present working online and also at The Practice in Guildford for face to face sessions.
My first session
I offer a free introductory session of 20 minutes, where we can meet and discuss what may bring you to counselling and what you feel you may want to get out of it. It is also a chance to address any questions or concerns you may have and to see if the sessions would be a good 'fit' for you and your needs.
If you would like to find out more and have a talk about how I may be able to help and how we could work together, please email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
