About me and my therapy practice
Jennifer McQuaid MBACP - Integrative Therapy Services, is a growing online Therapy Service.
I began my journey as a Therapeutic Counsellor in 2014 after the birth of my first child. After 5 years of training, counselling placements and engaging in my own personal counselling journey, I qualified in 2019.
I am an integrative Counsellor, meaning I draw from different modalities of therapy when working with my clients. This allows me to provide support across a wide range of issues. I have ample experience of working with clients who present with issues ranging from, but not limited to, Anxiety, Depression, Loss, Grief, Low self-esteem, Relationship issues and Addiction.
I currently run my private practice, alongside working part time in the NHS as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner where I support people struggling with Anxiety and Depression and teach them tools and techniques to help manage their symptoms.
I am a registered member of the BACP and abide by an ethical framework.
I take great pride in providing my clients with high-quality, patient-centred care and health education.

Practice description
My practise currently offers remote/online sessions. Allowing you to take your therapy on the go or from the comfort of your own home.
I am experienced in and passionate about offering support to those trying to overcome addiction or maintain their sobriety. This is an area I have personal experience in. I feel that this experience, understanding and knowledge provides a steady foundation for us to work through the issues that have led your dependence in the first place. I can also offer tools and techniques to help maintain your sobriety.
Please note, you cannot attend sessions under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
As a neurodivergent person, with a diagnosis of ASD, I have a special interest and passion for supporting Neurodiverse adults. I also love to support the parents and carers of neurodiverse children, as my eldest son is ASD.
I feel that my both my personal experience as someone with ASD, coupled with my experience as a mum to an ASD child, allows me to offer deep understanding and support to both Neurodiverse clients and the parents and carers of neurodiverse kids.
Additionally, I am passionate about and experienced in offering support to women who are experiencing mental health issues due to female reproductive issues such as PMDD and Perimenopause.
Sessions can be conducted via telephone, or zoom.
My first session
I offer a free 20 minute initial meet and greet.
