About me and my therapy practice

You may be feeling low, anxious, experiencing fear or just feeling stuck in a rut - accessing psychotherapy can help you work with and resolve difficult emotional issues that may be blocking how you want to live. You may be finding relationships hard going, repeating the same patterns, or finding it difficult to feel close to people.

I am a qualified psychotherapist with experience working with a broad range of clients in the NHS and private practice. I offer both short-term and open-ended therapy to individuals.  I work in London Bridge, offering therapy in person, online and by phone.

Talking in therapy can allow you to share the things that may be troubling you in a confidential and non-judgemental space. Examining your inner world and exploring feelings and habits that have gone unrecognised can support you to create positive shifts in mind and enable change. By looking at your life, both past and present, it’s possible to become aware of patterns and motivations that may have been hard to make sense of alone.

Speaking to a therapist is different to the kind of conversations possible with friends, family, even partners. Meeting weekly creates a reliable and safe space to explore what is happening for you.

If you would like to know more, email me to arrange an initial meeting.

Practice description

I hold sessions in person at comfortable consulting rooms less than 10 minutes walk from London Bridge Station. I also offer therapy online or by phone. Sessions are held weekly and last 50 minutes. I am a trained psychodynamic psychotherapist, with a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from WPF Therapy, accredited by Roehampton University. I have over 30 years experience working with people in the public sector in arts education, disability and mental health services. As a therapist I have worked in the NHS at South London and Maudsley Trust and in private practice. I offer space to explore thoughts and feelings, moving towards a greater understanding of what may be blocking or causing you to feel stuck, frustrated or lost. This can support shifts in thinking and feeling that enable acceptance and change.

My first session

For an initial consultation I suggest contacting me via email with times and days you have available. I will email you back offering a first meeting of 50 minutes which is £65. This allows time to explore your present issues and if therapy feels like the right fit for you. Ongoing weekly sessions will be at the same time and day each week as decided in our initial session. Weekly therapy fees are between £65 to £120 depending on income.
