About me and my therapy practice
Choosing the right counsellor is crucial, and I want to make that process as comfortable and reassuring as possible for you.
As someone who’s naturally empathetic and easy to talk to, my goal is to ease any apprehension you may feel about seeking support. I’m here to offer a safe, compassionate, and accepting space where your voice matters. I genuinely care about what’s important to you and am committed to helping you navigate your journey towards a more positive and fulfilling life.
My approach is integrative, which means I tailor our sessions to suit your unique personality, preferences, and needs. There’s no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to therapy, and I’m here to ensure that you receive the support that’s most effective for you. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, or low self-esteem, or you're navigating through trauma, loss, or any other challenges, I’m equipped with the knowledge and experience to guide you at your pace.
Practice description
A Compassionate and Experienced therapist.
With over 8 years of experience and thousands of hours spent supporting individuals through a wide range of difficulties, I bring both expertise and empathy to our sessions. I’ve worked extensively with a diverse range people, I train and teach counselling students, and hold specialist training in gambling addiction and I supervise counsellors' clinical practice. Additionally, my practice remains grounded in continuous learning and growth to ensure that I remain up to date on issues related to therapy.
Let’s Take the Next Step Together
There’s no pressure to commit after an initial chat or session. I encourage you to take the time to find the right fit, whether that’s with me or another therapist. What matters most is that you receive the support that feels right for you.
If you’re ready to explore how we can work together, or if you simply want to learn more about what counselling with me might look like, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Taking the first step towards change can be daunting, but you don’t have to do it alone. I’m here to support you every step of the way.
My first session
After an initial chat via telephone for up to 20 minutes, I encourage you to take time to reflect and decide if you would like to arrange a first session together. If you do you are welcome to contact me again to request this.
In our first session, you’ll have the chance to share your experiences and see how you feel in the therapeutic space and with me in person. If this is your first time talking to an unbiased listener, I want to ensure you feel at ease with me.
During our initial session, we’ll discuss:
Our mutual agreement on how we’ll work together
What has led you to seek therapy
Some of your history
Your hopes for our sessions
This session is an opportunity to determine if we’re a good match. There’s no obligation to continue if you feel it’s not the right fit and I will not put you on the spot to decide if you want to come back. I offer counselling sessions remotely via zoom or telephone so you can access these wherever you are in the U.K. or if you travel a lot, we can still meet remotely so you do not have to miss your sessions.
I am trained to work on video or telephone, and I can talk you through joining via video in some simple steps if you have not done this before.
I was sceptical using video for counselling until I completed my 80-hours online and telephone counselling training certificate. I was pleasantly surprised by how much being on video felt just like we are sat in the same room together. Give it a go and see how it feels for you.

Supervisor - Brighouse
Features
- Flexible hours available
- Concessionary rates
Availability
I offer one-to-one supervision for trainee and qualified counsellors or group supervisions for businesses, colleges or groups. I currently have spaces on Tuesday-Friday up to 8pm.
I offer supervision face to face from my Brighouse office or via zoom or telephone.
Preferred contact via email or message to arrange a mutually convenient time to speak privately.
About me and my therapy practice
I offer clinical supervision to qualified counsellors and trainees in person and online to support safe, ethical and competent counselling practice.
I am a qualified Clinical Supervisor and I believe the relationship between supervisor and counsellor is incredibly important, I strive to ensure that you feel comfortable and safe enough to bring all of you to supervision. I see our relationship as two professionals working collaboratively to support your practice and wellbeing.
In supervision I support counsellors to stay grounded, maintain professional and ethical boundaries, explore client work and relationships, interventions and personal issues which may be affecting their practice. I offer a respectful and very human relationship where there is an atmosphere of acceptance and care within it, and the environment. I enjoy being real and laughter is always welcome in supervision, as well as the struggles of working through ethical dilemmas and feelings that can arise from client work, which can be hard to verbalise. I have a genuine interest in you as an individual and you as a counsellor. Additionally, celebrating your successes is a must! Being part of your growth and development journey is a privilege that I never tire of.
I am an integrative counsellor with a Person-Centred underpinning.
Practice description
I believe supervision works best when the therapist is supported, encouraged and gently challenged in a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship. I see my role as supervisor in helping a you to identify blocks, unpick feelings of 'stuckness' within the work, being curious about your feelings, responses and processes and sharing useful resources, reading and CPD when appropriate; to look a self-care, best practice and issues of ethics in clinical context.
I use the 7-eyed supervision model (Hawkins and Shohet), this gives us an opportunity to gain holistic insight into how each 'eye' is affecting your practice and supports you to increase your awareness too. The 'eyes' encompass the following areas of your practice:
• Focus on the Client
• Focus on Interventions
• Focus on Client/Therapist Relationship
• Focus on the Therapist’s Process
• Focus on Therapist/Supervisor Relationship
• Focus on Supervisor’s Process
• Focus on the Wider Context
Supervision sessions are £70 for 90 minutes or £55 for 60 minutes for qualified therapists.
I had the privilege of being offered a reduced rate when I was in training so I feel strongly that I want to pass this onto other student counsellors therefore I offer a reduced rate of £60 for 90 minutes and £50 for 60 minutes for trainee counsellors.
My first session
Prior to our first session we will have had a telephone conversation (free of charge) to discuss what type of supervision you may have had before and what kind of supervisor you are looking for. This gives us a chance to see how it feels to connect and helps you to decide if you would like us to meet and have an initial supervision together to see how you feel with me and in the space.
You can ask any questions about how I work and my experiences and qualifications. If we decide to work together then we can arrange our first supervision together and take it from there.
