About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced accredited counsellor and fully qualified to work with adults and teenagers from my room in Evesham or On line via Zoom.At times you may feel overwhelmed by events in your life and feel isolated and vulnerable. It can be hard then to make sense of your emotions and you may lose sight of the person you were or want to be. I know how frightening it can be when you feel this way and life feels too hard. This is when counselling may help you find a way forward.
By talking over what your experiencing in a non judgemental space, you are more able to gain understanding over your thoughts, feelings, behaviours and what it is you want or need from life. Being in a therapeutic relationship will allow you to notice patterns of behaviour that you may not have been aware of and all of those automatic responses and unhelpful coping strategies that you have adopted throughout your life. Within therapy you are able to reflect and process what is going on for you in your own time and at your own pace. As I listen to your life experience, I will work with you to make sense of what you are going through and together we can get you back to the life you want and deserve.
Practice description
I am an experienced, accredited and fully qualified integrative counsellor, trained to work with both adults and young people. Working in an integrative way means that I work in a way best suited to the needs of my client. I am an experienced person centred counsellor and I also work with other modalities such as cognitive therapies, solution focused counselling and creative therapy.
I also work with many EAP's either face to face or remotely.
My fees per session for face to face are:
Adult Counselling 60 minute session £50
Children & Teenage Counselling 50 minute session £40
My session fees for Zoom are £40 per session for all clients.
I offer reduced fees for those on lower income and to full time students.
I offer a fee of £35 for counselling students to gain their required hours during training.
My first session
I know that making the decision to come to counselling may feel daunting and you may be apprehensive. I offer a free initial telephone call where we can see if I am the right counsellor to support you and answer any questions you might have. Once you feel comfortable, we can arrange our first session. We can then talk in greater detail and explore further what is going on for you and what you want to gain from counselling. You may have specific goals that you want to achieve which we can explore and work towards or we can work on your outcome from therapy together.
Having regular weekly sessions does help to build the therapeutic relationship but sometimes this may not be possible so I offer a very flexible approach to counselling. Sometimes one session may actually be enough for you at the moment which I am happy to facilitate. I also do long term open ended therapy and work to the needs of my clients.
I work face to face and on line and can also do a combination of the both to work in a flexible way for my clients needs.
