About me and my therapy practice

Whatever your reasons to seek therapy, be it coming to terms with pain, loss, illness, loneliness or relationship problems, or if you simply feel stuck, anxious or frustrated in your life and perhaps are not sure why, it is my aim to help you make sense of things.

My name is Verka (also known as 'V') and I have been a practising counsellor/psychotherapist in West / South West London for the past 4 years. I am a humanistic therapist offering a confidential space to safely explore your thoughts and feelings. I combine different schools of therapy and varied tools to create a personalised approach for each client that is based on what we agree together as the most beneficial for your unique circumstances and requirements.

My personal style integrates empathetic listening and asking questions, so that we create a place in which you begin to understand what might be contributing to your difficulties, find more self-compassion, where new choices can emerge and new perspectives can be opened up.

I offer individual therapy on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period, with the aim of enabling you to enhance your life and to live it more fully.

Practice description

I am currently offering online sessions via Zoom, these are carried out in the same confidential manner as face to face work. I think it's fair to say that not many of us would have thought that online therapy would be hugely effective prior to March 2020, but based on my many clients' experience since then, Zoom therapy actually works as a worthy substitute.  

I also work face to face two days a week however these slots are currently rather busy. Do get in touch to check availability please.
