About me and my therapy practice

Individual Therapy

When we sit together, you can talk about whatever it is you'd like to share. If you don’t know what to say, we simply begin with that.

Maybe you need to tell your story and have it witnessed. Maybe you are seeking clarity around a specific problem, or suffering a bereavement, or from a separation. Maybe you’re needing a space in which you can simply cry, or rage, without being judged. It is all welcome.

My hope is that through working with me you will become more aware of what obscures your joy and your truth, and build on your muscle for self-compassion. I will help you to look for meaning, think with you about how your past affects the present, and encourage you to examine your fears, your shame, and your beliefs that no longer serve you.

What is created through therapy is a relationship. I therefore use the relationship that we build together as a doorway into understanding other relationships in your life. I might also invite you to explore what is happening in your body when you are experiencing emotion, as the body is a remarkable access point into feelings.

I trained at The Minster Centre and hold an Advanced Diploma and MA in Integrative Psychotherapy & Counselling.

Couples Therapy

As well as one-to-one work, I am offering 6-session blocks of therapy to couples from 17th March. These will be at a discounted rate, while I complete my training in Imago Couples therapy. Places are limited, so please get in touch if you are interested.

How I work with Couples

Through the modality of Imago Therapy, I will teach you a method of dialoguing with your partner that fosters empathy, re-connection, and the valuing of each other's subjectivity. The work will help to uncover what lies at the root of relational conflicts, resolve frustrations, reduce negative interactions, and cultivate intimacy, strong communication, and mutual appreciation.
