About me and my therapy practice
I am a fully-qualified, UKCP-accredited integrative psychotherapist with 10 years' experience. I can work online or in person. I primarily offer once-a-week sessions.
I seek to help people find a path in difficult times and to see that change is possible. It is a privilege to accompany people on their life journey as they consider making changes.
My belief is that therapy provides a unique opportunity to work through emotional, challenging and stressful experiences. Therapy can help you to find a sense of clarity, freedom and confidence, which in turn can bring more meaning to your life.
I have worked with people experiencing depression, anxiety, bereavement, loss, low self-esteem, anger, men's issues, relationship difficulties, work issues, abuse and addiction.
Alongside my private practice, I have worked in the charity sector, including bereavement work at Marie Curie and two low-cost services: The Caravan Drop-In Centre in Piccadilly and The Stress Project in Holloway.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Practice description
I aim to offer a supportive space in which you can work through past events, release blocks, and move forward.
I have a particular interest in working holistically, seeing the person as mind, body and soul, while also acknowledging our connection with nature and the world around us. In the therapy room, this might involve working with emotions held in the body, examining how we treat ourselves in terms of diet and exercise, and finding clarity of thought.
I make use of a variety of approaches, which can be tailored to your needs, including exploring the impact of upbringing and trauma, and working with creative imagination, breath work and mindfulness.
My first session
When you contact me, I will get in touch to introduce myself. My preference is to phone you, but I am happy to text or email if you prefer.
I find it helpful to have an initial dialogue. This is free. We can briefly explore what you are looking for and check I am the right sort of counsellor for you.
If you would like to move forward, the next step would be to arrange a no-obligation initial appointment. This will last 50 minutes. I charge £45 for this. It will be a chance for you to meet me and for me to find out more about your story.
If it is agreed to proceed, we will decide on a regular weekly slot. We can work open-ended or, if you prefer, we can contract for an intial six sessions then have a review.
