About me and my therapy practice

Deciding to seek Counselling for the first time, can feel like a big step. I offer a safe, confidential, non-judgemental space, where your concerns and worries will be treated with the utmost respect and sensitivity. I usually suggest an initial telephone conversation to see if you would like to work with me to explore the issues that are troubling you. There is no charge for this and it usually lasts about 20 minutes.

I have helped people with many and varied issues. I have a lot of experience particularly with supporting people through Bereavement and Loss. I am an Associate Counsellor working in Employment Assistance Programmes, and supporting Bereavement. I also work with a ground breaking online Bereavement chatline.

In addition I have a special interest in supporting people who are experiencing issues around sexuality, and with people who are experiencing bullying in the workplace.

I offer sessions In Person, by Zoom, or Outdoor Therapy (“Walk and Talk”)

I also offer Single Session Therapy to clients who may have one or two specific issues they would like to explore and find a resolution to.

Availability

I currently have availability for In Person and Online Supervision. I use Zoom for this but can be flexible with other platforms if preferred. My working hours are 9 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday, however I can be flexible and offer an evening appointment if required. I do not work weekends.

About me and my therapy practice

I hold an Advanced Certificate in Clinical Supervision (Including Online and Telephone Sessions). I am available for Supervision both to Trainees/Students and to Qualified Counsellors and Psychotherapists. I work Online and In Person. I have been a Counsellor for over 20 years so have a lot of experience in the field to offer my Supervisees including lived experience too. My normal fee is £50 per One Hour session but I can be flexible for Students and Trainees just starting out. Feel free to contact me for an initial chat.

Practice description

Working with Supervisees and the modality they practise is an essential part of both ethical and competent Supervision. I offer a safe, professional space both “in the room’ and Online to allow both personal and professional development. Clinical Supervision allows for structured reflection on best practice and encourages the development of skills, knowledge, awareness, and ethical judgement within a supportive relationship. As a supervisor I offer support and guidance to help Supervisees develop their abilities as a therapist and be fully present for their clients. Together we can create a relationship and a working alliance that is tailored to their specific needs. I draw on a variety of models and am person centred and relational in my approach.

My first session

I offer an initial 20 minute chat to see if we are happy to work together. This can be by Zoom or Telephone.
