About me and my therapy practice
The first step to seeking counselling is a powerful decision towards personal growth.
Talking to someone who doesn't have a stake in your life and will listen to you in a safe space without judgment can be a relief.
Whether you are dealing with past or present challenges, I am here to support you in exploring your experiences at a pace that is convenient to you. We will look at your concerns and explore the unconscious, trying to find the underlying causes of distress, such as internal conflicts and unresolved feelings.
I am highly qualified, with eight years of experience working in different sectors with adults from diverse backgrounds and with many emotional challenges, including anxiety, depression, university life, traumas, relationship issues, grief, struggles with identity and work-related pressures.
I hold an MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy and have a Diploma in Attachment-Based Counselling and Foundation Certificate in Bereavement Counselling.
Aside from my qualifications, I have an authentic human presence and a rich life experience, which enables me to value and approach each client uniquely. In this approach, we will explore your past experiences and I will help you gain a better understanding of your life and how you relate to yourself and the people around you.
My tailored approach can help you feel heard and empowered to make meaningful and lasting changes.
Practice description
I offer a free 15-minute online consultation so that you can ask some questions before deciding to work with me.
After that, we will have weekly 50-minute sessions on an agreed day and time.
Sessions are £75 each.
My first session
In our first session, we will explore your reasons for seeking counselling and whether working together would be beneficial.
You will share your background and what you hope to achieve through therapy.
We will also agree on a day and time that would be convenient for both and decide on short or long-term work, which can be reviewed regularly.
We will also talk about our contract if we decide to work together.
