About me and my therapy practice
I would welcome hearing from you with regards to what has brought you to seek therapy. The way I work tends to be led by the needs of each individual person, and I can bring my experience as a qualified counsellor and cognitive behavioural therapist to what you'd like to focus on.
My experience as a therapist, includes working in services which support people with abuse and sexual violence; in the NHS both as a counsellor and CBT therapist; in bereavement services; with charities that support frontline workers and in private practice.
I offer a grounded, transparent and compassionate working relationship where you can expect a safe, respectful dialogue. You can feel championed to explore your emotions and experiences; connect with your individual resources; develop new perspectives and techniques to manage and cope with problems and achieve change that is meaningful to you.
I will support you with your focus for therapy as you see it, and I have experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, panic attacks, obsessive compulsive disorder, phobias, health and social anxiety; low self esteem; experiences of abuse and sexual violence in childhood or adulthood; self harm; substance and alcohol use; relationship and family problems; work related problems; bereavement; life changes and transitions.
Practice description
I currently offer online sessions on Zoom on some week night evenings.
The sessions are 50 minutes long and generally at the same time each week though I can offer some flexibility.
I can offer shorter or longer term work.
I am an accredited member of the BACP and adhere to its code of ethics.
