About me and my therapy practice

Hi and welcome to my profile page. 

I am a qualified and experienced counsellor. Some of the issues I have experience working with include relationship issues, anxiety, grief, loss, traumatic life experiences, inner child wounds and challenges of living a multicultural life.

Have you been feeling overwhelmed by life’s pressures? Are you finding your relationships difficult to manage? Do you feel you are losing sense of who you are and where you are going in life?

As a counsellor my main aim is to listen and understand you from your own point of view. The sessions are collaborative where I listen as well as help you explore your thoughts and the different parts within you.

I will accept you as you are, and will move at your own pace. You are in control of how far or deep you want to explore your difficulties and challenges. My experience is that when you feel safe, you will find it easier to listen and accept yourself and make authentic choices for yourself.

I have a special interest in the mind-body connection and how our thoughts and feelings can manifest in the body. Whatever your issue might be, listening to the wisdom of your body can be an anchor and a tool allowing you to be aware of your feelings, integrate the different parts within you.

I am committed to offering a non-judgmental and culturally sensitive space in my practice.

Practice description

Life presents regular challenges, and sometimes it can be difficult to decide how to respond. Together we can unravel your worries, explore what is troubling you as well as explore your hopes for yourself and how to move forward. I will support you in tapping into your internal resources and find your authentic voice. Counselling is a therapeutic conversation, an interaction. It is different from talking to a friend in that the focus is on your process. Counselling can help with processing dismissed or not dealt with emotions that tend to find a way back into your life and being. It can help in identifying patterns in your life to understand yourself better, empower you to integrate your experiences and be able to better cope in every day life.

My first session

Seeking therapy takes courage in coming forward with your intimate thoughts and deepest emotions . People seek therapy for many different reasons. If you would like to go ahead and take the first step I can best be contacted via email by pressing the Message me button. We can arrange a time for an initial consultation. If we are happy to continue working together we will set up a regular time (usually weekly) for your sessions. I offer both short term and long term therapy.

About me and my therapy practice

Hello and welcome to my page. My name is Noor. I am a professionally qualified and experienced counsellor offering online and in-person sessions. I hope you will find the information provided here helpful.

As a counsellor, I have had the privilege of working with clients from a diverse and broad range of ages and cultures in several counselling agencies as well as in my private practice since 2016. Some of the issues I have experience working with include clients experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, high sensitivity, neurodivergence, bereavement, sexual abuse, domestic violence, relationship issues, phobia, cultural and identity issues, life transitions, and finding meaning.

If you are experiencing overwhelming emotions that are impacting on your sense of self, your relationships, your work and your ability to move forward in your life, therapy can help. I am fully committed to providing a safe, accepting, and confidential space to explore and work through your difficulties.

Practice description

With my training, skills, professional, and personal experience, my ethos is to facilitate a safe, inclusive, collaborative space for us to explore and understand your experiences. The experience of being listened to in a focused way, of being heard, seen and witnessed, can be transformative.

By meeting regularly to slow down and voice your unique challenges, I intend to support you to experience changes in your well-being and clarity of thought and cultivate a nourishing way of being with your struggles.

Because our thoughts and emotions don’t only exist in the mind, I work in a holistic way, meaning working to integrate and balance mind, body, thoughts and feelings.

My first session

I appreciate that taking the first step in seeking counselling takes a lot of courage. I will do my best to make you feel settled. In our initial meeting, we will look at your motivation for seeking counselling, what you hope to get from therapy and how I might best support you.
