About me and my therapy practice
I want to help and support young persons, individuals and couples who are struggling in life right now. My aim is to see you within 4-7 working days. I will respond to your enquiry within 24hrs.
Being told you need to wait on a waiting list is not acceptable, especially when you know how much you need the help right now. You shouldn't be a crisis to get help, help should be there when you reach out and ask.
Practice description
It is important for me that all my clients leave our session feeling seen and heard. I want you to feel lighter knowing there is a plan of action in place to move forward each week. You can see a glimmer of light which shines brightly within the darkness. Walking towards to light you begin to see the route ahead and you start to knock down the bricks within the wall of pain, frustration and dread. Each step you take, is a step closer to your end goal.
My first session
In our first session I will discuss with you our working contract, how I practice to keep you, the client safe and the guidelines I adhere to, to be a therapist within the BACP. There is a short assessment, a tick box questionnaire of how you have been feeling over the past 7 days.
We will agree to work together, and the frequency of the sessions. The cancellation policy and payment terms will be discussed and agreed, and how you can make contact with me out of session.
I will take notes as I ask about your family history, and your reasons for coming to me.
