“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself, just as I am, then I can change.” - Carl Rogers.
I offer a safe space where you identify any learnt messages and separate them from who you really are, not who you have become, by trying to conform and please the world and others. Through a neuro-affirmative therapeutic lens, I support you in recognising and celebrating your differences while understanding the effect of social expectations and judgements on how you view those differences. You are the expert on you, but you may have just lost your voice.
I am an integrative counsellor. My core training was in the person-centred model, but I also have training and experience in cognitive behaviour therapy, gestalt, and creative methods. I use psychoeducation, lived experience, and my natural strengths, such as cognitive understanding and pattern-finding, to help you gain new insights and awareness.
Counselling is about the relationship and feeling safe to explore our inner world and worries with someone who understands and without fear of judgment. So, it’s important to find a counsellor you feel comfortable with. Accredited with both BACP and NCS and ACTO member. Continuously updated Enhanced DBS since 2001.
My Counselling Qualifications include:
-Master of Arts (MA) in Counselling and Psychotherapy
-Batchelor of Science (BSc) First Class Honours Degree in Counselling
-Level 4 Advanced Diploma in Counselling Practice and Theory
-Level 4 in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
-Level 3 in Counselling Practice
-Level 2 in Counselling Skills

My first session
We will communicate via email and then by telephone (optional, as phone calls are not comfortable for everyone) to discuss your aims and how I work. We will also get a sense of whether we both feel a connection and if what I offer suits you or your child's needs.
We will then decide and progress onto our first session.
I hold two concession places and a waiting list when these spaces are full.
