About me and my therapy practice

Hello there.  How are you today? Often when we are asked this we say "I'm fine" or "Grand thanks," but maybe you are not really feeling fine or grand.  Perhaps you are feeling worried, low, overwhelmed or lonely.  We all struggle emotionally sometimes and I'm available to support you in finding a way forward, if you would like.

I am a professionally qualified integrative Counsellor, based in the Waterside of Derry-Londonderry in Northern Ireland. I work with adults on a one to one basis, and have appointments available Monday - Friday, 9.30 am to 6.30 pm.  I  currently offer face to face, telephone and video counselling sessions; whatever suits the client best.

I often work with people who are living with mental health issues. This could be anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, personality disorder or trauma for example.

In addition, I work with people who have lived through domestic abuse, those who are grieving the loss of a loved one, and adults on the autistic spectrum.

I often also work with clients experiencing family relationship difficulties or work related stress.

I offer a reduced rate of £35.00 per 1 hour counselling session for individuals who are students or working part time, or not currently working.

Practice description

I am an integrative counsellor which means I use a few different counselling styles in my work with clients.  These include person-centred, psychodynamic, CBT and Mindfulness.

I offer counselling to support individuals to tell their story, work through their difficult thoughts and feelings, build healthy self esteem & to start thinking in more helpful ways.  I show my counselling clients respect, empathy and understanding, and we work together to find a way forward for the client.

I firmly believe that you are the expert on yourself & that with the right support, you can rediscover your confidence and strengths, and move forward in your life.

My first session

I invite individuals who are thinking about coming for some counselling to organise a first session with me, to see if we feel comfortable working together.

If you would like to find out more about how I work, my website is www.livingwellcounselling.uk  You will also find previous counselling client reviews there.

You can contact me by calling or texting on 07467 040563, emailing me at fiona@livingwellcounselling.uk or sending a private message to my Facebook page "Living Well Counselling".
