About me and my therapy practice
I offer a non-judgemental, emphatic and relational approach to managing feelings of depression, anxiety, feeling overwhelmed and feelings of distress. I will work collaboratively with you to explore ways to offer the best support and insight within the therapeutic relationship, to find positive ways of coping.
As an integrative practitioner, I work using a range of different theoretical approaches which enables me to work in a way that is unique to you.
I offer sessions on a long, medium or short-term basis.
Reaching out is the first and very brave step and I look forward to supporting you in finding clarity and resolution.
My background:
I have worked for over ten years in the NHS with adults, adolescents and families specialising in the distress and psychological difficulties associated with chronic health conditions and relational trauma
I have also worked extensively within the care system working with trauma, abuse and neglect and within inpatient services
I have worked in private practice for several years with a wide range of clients who have different challenges and struggles. I support them to find better ways of coping, helping them to develop positive relationships and develop a compassionate relationship with the self
I also offer sessions to adolescents and young people
I offer long-term face-to-face work, Short-term face-to-face work, Telephone counselling, online counselling
Practice description
My core focus is to build a relationship with you, to offer interpretations and insight into your patters of responding with curiosity and compassion. Your developed responses were developed in your past to help you cope but maybe they are no longer working for you or are holding you back from the things you really seek
My first session
In the first session we will discuss your goals, what you seek to achieve in our time together, we can then plan a collaborative approach to ensure your goals are met and you feel supported and heard
