About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced Trauma Informed Counsellor & Counselling Supervisor with my private practice in Romsey, Hampshire. I offer face to face and on-line therapy.
Sometimes life throws us curve-balls. Overwhelmed and at a loss on how to move forward we often need someone independent of family and friends who we can talk to without judgment or advice giving.
I can provide a confidential, safe and secure environment for you to explore or uncover whatever is troubling you. As a Humanistic Counsellor, I will guide and support you as you come to terms yourself, with whatever might be holding you back. As overwhelming as it may feel for you right now, please remember that I am trained to identify what might be at the route of how you are feeling, and to support you as we work through what you feel is holing you back.
My practice is Trauma Informed: I have accrued extensive, post qualification training, working with clients who have experienced significant Trauma in their lives. Counselling within a Women's Centre has given me vast experience working with clients who have experienced Childhood Abuse, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence.
The effects of Trauma are very real, such as Flashbacks & Addictions. I offer my clients the space to process their experiences, with a psycho-educative approach, helping them to understand the effects of Trauma on the brain and how we can support this in the here and now, using grounding techniques.
I am a qualified Youth Counsellor (11-25yrs) gaining vast experience working within a large sixth form college, where I have supported clients with a wide range of issues, including Self-Harm and Suicide Ideation.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can offer you any further information.
Home Counselling: Available if Health Issues prevent the client from traveling.
On-line Counselling: Please message me to discuss.

About me and my therapy practice
Good supervision is an essential part of working as a counsellor, or in a helping profession. I am qualified to offer you a space to reflect on your professional practice, while offering support in your challenges.
My core theoretical model and qualification is Humanistic Counselling based on Transactional Analysis, with further extensive training around Trauma and Addiction, working from a Trauma Informed Framework.
As an extension to my practice I am also a qualified, Adult and Youth (11yrs upwards) Counsellor, gaining a lot of experience working in a sixth form college.
I have a long history working as a counsellor within a Women's Service and in the charitable sector, supporting supporting clients and young people who are currently, or have in the past experienced domestic and sexual abuse, sexual violence, and/or coercive and controlling behaviour.
Through my work I have accrued vast experience working with Trauma and Addiction.
With a successful Private Practice, I have learned that robust supervision is crucial for the counsellor when working with the complexities of our work. My supervisory practice is an extension of my own work with clients and I aim to share with you my knowledge and experience while offering the support required from supervision in the challenging work undertaken.
I would be happy to work one to one or in group supervision. Supervision sessions and duration ( ie; bi-wekly or monthly) can be tailored to meet your individual needs.
