About me and my therapy practice
Welcome. You may be going through a difficult time, experiencing painful emotions, or struggling with relationships. Perhaps you feel that you are unable to resolve these issues yourself. Counselling can give you the opportunity to make sense of these feelings, find clarity, and feel less alone.
1:1 work: I believe that the client holds the answers, and I will work alongside you, to help you discover your true self. Together we can explore how early experiences may be affecting current behaviours and unhelpful patterns, and by making sense of your past help you understand where you are today.
Drawing from a range of counselling approaches, I offer a warm, non-judgmental space where you can explore difficult feelings from a different perspective and work towards self-acceptance and change.
Relationship therapy: This type of work is more dynamic than my one-to-one work, and the relationship itself will be centred as opposed to the individuals. As I am working towards my Advanced Diploma in Relationship Psychotherapy I am offering a discounted rate.
Practice description
I work in private practice, and hold a Higher Professional Diploma in Counselling. I am a Registered Member of the BACP and work within their Ethical Framework. I have regular one-to-one and group supervision and stay up to date with new psychological publications, as well as engage with regular CPD training.
I work affirmatively with consensual non-monogamy and polyamory, LGBTQIA+ persons, and those exploring what sex, gender, and identity means to them and their relationships.
I offer short- and long-term weekly therapy sessions, and you can end at any time although I would recommend that you let me know in advance so that we can work through the ending together.
My first session
Our first session is an opportunity for us to discover if we will work well together. I will ask you what you think is important for me to know about who you are and what you hope to gain from therapy. It will also be a chance for you to experience the way that I work, and to get an idea of what you can expect from our sessions. We will also cover confidentiality, payment and fees, the cancellation policy, and the counselling agreement.

Relationship Therapy: This type of work is more dynamic than one-to-one work, and the relationship itself will be the focus as opposed to the individuals. Whether you are looking to improve communication, work through a specific difficulty such as a betrayal or infidelity, or are struggling with sex and intimacy, relationship therapy can bring a fresh perspective and improve mutual understanding.
