About me and my therapy practice
I am a counsellor and psychotherapist working in the Garstang area. I offer phone and online (video) appointments as well as face-to-face.
I believe in tailoring my approach to the needs and experiences of the individual client, and my training in Integrative Psychotherapy (MA) helps me to do this. Like all counsellors, I offer a safe and confidential space for you to explore any issues that are causing you distress. In working together towards your goals, I can also suggest specific approaches that might help you to move forward.
After a successful academic career, including management roles, I decided to train as a psychotherapist when I realised that my main skills and interests lay in the relationships I had with my colleagues and students. My background in research and education also means that I really enjoy the opportunities for continuous professional development that are a key part of my obligations to you as a BACP-accredited therapist.
I offer appointments both during the day and in the evenings. Contact me for a free, no obligation 30-minute initial consultation by phone, online or in person.

About me and my therapy practice
I am accredited member of the BACP, and I have a Masters in Integrative Psychotherapy. The basis of my practice is humanistic, relational and tailored to the needs of each client. I approach supervision in the same way.
As well as my Masters degree, I have completed training in Emotion Focused Therapy (levels 1 and 2) and I also have interests in Transactional Analysis, Gestalt, parts work and various approaches to trauma.
I hold a Certificate in Supervision from the Manchester Institute for Psychotherapy.
Practice description
I work face to face and online, and occasionally by telephone, with both clients and supervisees.
I have experience with a broad range of clients, who come for help with a variety of issues: anxiety, depression, relationships, trauma, loss, personal development, stress etc. I have also worked with clients who have a diagnosis of bipolar disorder or borderline personality.
I specialise in working with neurodivergent clients and have undertaken training relating to autism. I have also worked with people in recovery from addiction.
