About me and my therapy practice
I am an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP Accred).
I work relationally, collaboratively and in a tailored way to each individual offering empathy, congruence and an unconditional positive regard to create a working alliance. I provide a safe space to empower you to explored your predicament and find your own solution and a new way of understanding your needs by bringing awareness to your feelings, thoughts and behaviours in the moment.
Practice description
If you have found yourself here you may be looking for support. Are you sad, anxious or depressed? Grieving the loss of a loved one, pet or a job and in need of emotional support, but have no one to turn to? Maybe you are struggling in a relationship or with a break up? Having a safe place to express and explore what is happening for you can empower you to work towards making changes to live your life more fully, in a way that is right for you. Talking with your Counsellor can help you to gain clarity and understanding about your thoughts, feelings and emotions, and see how you can use them to help you to grow with, or around them.
I work relationally and listen intently, so you feel heard, and so I understand what is happening for you, working to find your voice, your path and indeed, yourself! I work with bereavement; loss; life limiting and life threatening illness; and have worked in charities and hospice settings. I can also help with anxiety, depression etc. Please ask.
I aim to tailor your sessions to your individual needs in a compassionate and accepting way so you feel supported and empowered. I offer flexible appointments to work around your busy schedule. Please call or email now to secure your appointment.
My first session
£60 per 50 minute session
During the first session, I will explain to you how I work, go over my working agreement and what you can expect. I may ask you to say a little about what has brought you to therapy and what you hope to get from it.
During the first session you will get a feel for whether how the way I work is compatible with what you are looking for. You can then choose to continue with sessions should you feel we are a good fit, or, alternatively, I can help you to find the right therapist for you.
