About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified and registered Psychotherapist in Emotion Focused Therapy and can work with children, young people and adults. My heart is to journey with the client in whatever they are experiencing. To help and support them through things and to assist in helping them process whatever they feel is going on for them
I have a passion for working with children and young people from ages 8-19 years of age. I am a counsellor at 4 high schools and use a range of therapy methods depending on the needs of the individual. I believe each young person is different and therefore focus my work on the individual need.
For the past 12 years I have also worked in the primary school setting, working alongside children with additional learning needs and as an emotional well-being practitioner, working with young people with behavioural and emotional issues, and those in the care system. Through working with young people, it has also given me opportunity in working with the family also. Building relationships with them and working together as a team to support the young person is of huge importance.
