About me and my therapy practice

Therapy works best when it's a collaborative process. You want to affect some change in your life and I want to work with you to enable you to discover that change. I am a Counsellor/Psychotherapist and hold a Diploma in Integrative Counselling, which means that I use different counselling models and tailor them to meet your personal needs. As an Accredited Member of the BACP this gives you the assurance that I will act ethically, professionally & with integrity. I am experienced in working with children, young people & adults in private practice, GP surgeries, prisons, supported living, rehabilitation units and schools & colleges. I have full & enhanced DBS (CRB) registration, professional indemnity insurance and regular clinical supervision. My practice is based in Kent with locations in Dartford & Maidstone. In addition to working privately I offer my counselling services voluntarily in the county, as I believe it’s imperative to give something back. I have a genuine passion for the work I do and am committed to being the best I can be for you. Whether you are engaging in therapy for the first time, or returning to explore a new issue, I will work with you and to your agenda. So if talking to a brick wall hasn’t provided any answers yet please contact me:

I am an approved practitioner with the Private Practice Register and my clinical work is recognised by the following private health care insurers:

Aviva, AXA Health, Bupa & Vitality Health

My first session

During our first session together I will explain how I work as a counsellor and answer any questions you may have. I will complete a short assessment with you to help me understand a little more about you as a person and indeed what you would like to achieve by coming to therapy. I recognise that it can be a little daunting meeting someone for the first time, so please know that I will go at your pace and that I view it as my responsibility to help you relax and feel comfortable in the room. Finally, I am happy to have a free telephone consultation with you prior to your first session if you feel this would be of benefit to you.
