I offer sessions face-to-face in my consulting room in Clapham / Balham (SW12) and also online.
About me and my therapy practice
I provide a confidential and non-judgmental space where together we can explore the reasons that have led you here. Effective therapy requires a trusting, mutual relationship where honest and respectful dialogue can take place.
I believe in the healing power of love and self-compassion. Through a holistic approach, tailored to meet your specific needs, I aim to create a safe and supportive space for you to explore some of the blocks that stand in the way of a more fulfilling life.
I have experience working in the NHS with a broad client base presenting with varied emotional difficulties, including anxiety, depression, panic attacks, low self-esteem, shame, social anxiety, anger, OCD etc.
My consulting room is between Clapham and Balham in SW12, close to SW11.
I offer long and short-term counselling & psychotherapy in person or online, in English and in Italian.
Low-cost appointments subject to availability.
I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy), and I adhere to their code of ethics.
Practice description
Gestalt is a German word that means 'make into a comprehensive whole'. Gestalt therapy is based on a relational and dialogical approach, believing that as human beings, we are inter-connected and can only know ourselves in relation to others.
As a Gestalt therapist, I believe that we all have the necessary abilities to face life's difficulties and lead a rewarding life. However, often during childhood, something interrupts this process and we might get stuck in some fixed and rigid patterns of behaviour.
Through the exploration of past events and how they are experienced in the present, my aim is to help you gain greater awareness of yourself in your life.
My focus is not only on what is expressed in words but also on what the body says.
My first session
The first session is an initial assessment to explore the issues you would like to work on, and possible ways of addressing them in therapy. You can tell me about yourself and learn about the way I work to see if you will be comfortable in therapy with me.
Sessions are on a weekly basis and last 50 minutes. I have regular reviews to establish how the therapy is going for you, and whether it matches your expectations.
