About me and my therapy practice

Seeking therapy can be daunting, especially when choosing the right therapist. Allow me to introduce myself – I'm a qualified Psychotherapist and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I've worked therapeutically with adults and young people in various settings, including the NHS and universities.

I am trained in a wide range of modalities, however, I firmly believe that a strong therapist-client relationship forms the bedrock of a positive therapeutic experience.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) or "Tapping"

In addition to traditional therapy approaches, I am an EFT Practitioner. EFT (sometimes known as 'Tapping') involves gently tapping on specific meridian points while focusing on intense thoughts, emotions, or memories. Tapping helps bring these into consciousness, enabling you to process and replace negative patterns with positive reinforcement.

Integrating EFT with talking therapies can yield better outcomes for overcoming emotional or physical barriers. EFT is particularly beneficial for stress, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, chronic pain, weight management, phobias, and addictions. Visit EFT International for more information and research on its efficacy.

Practice description

My Approach

I strive to create a confidential, non-judgmental environment where you can explore the issues causing you difficulty and begin initiate positive change. I'm committed to understanding your perspective and the challenges you face. I'll support you in working through these, developing new, constructive, ways of thinking and being.

I offer both short-term and long-term therapy tailored to your individual needs. Together, we'll discuss and regularly review your goals to ensure our progress aligns with your requirements.

My first session

Initial Consultation and Assessment

I offer a complimentary 20-minute phone consultation. During this call, we can discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and schedule an initial assessment session. This assessment lasts approximately 50 minutes. A discounted rate applies for the initial assessment.

The assessment process is informal, allowing us to get acquainted and explore your motivations for therapy in-depth. Crucially, it serves as an opportunity for both of us to evaluate if we can establish an effective working relationship. If we determine a good fit, we'll proceed to schedule our first therapy session.

You can contact me by phone or email to initiate this process.

About me and my therapy practice

Are you considering therapy but feeling intimidated about choosing the right therapist? Let me introduce myself. I'm a qualified Psychotherapist and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I've worked therapeutically with adults and young people in various settings, including the NHS and universities, for a number of years.

I am trained in a range of modalities, but I believe a strong therapist-client relationship is the foundation for a positive therapeutic experience.

Combining EFT with traditional talking therapies can be more effective in overcoming emotional and physical barriers to wellbeing.

EFT is particularly beneficial for stress, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, chronic pain, weight management, phobias, and addictions. Visit EFT International for more information and research on its efficacy.
