About me and my therapy practice
Do you find that you are constantly worrying or overthinking and unable to 'switch off'?
Do you worry excessively about your health?
Do you dwell on past events or obsess about the future?
If you answered yes to any of the these questions then talking to someone may help you to make a positive change.
As someone who has benefited from accessing talking therapies I have first-hand experience of just how life changing and rewarding they can be. It was this which inspired me to try to offer the same kind of help to other people.
I know how much counselling can do to guide people in their journey towards a fulfilled and happy life, and I’m determined to provide that kind of guidance to others. There are times when somewhere to talk and someone to listen are more important than almost anything else.
That’s why I’m committed to working with every client in a holistic, non-judgemental, supportive way. I’ll provide you with a safe, confidential space in which you’ll have the freedom to explore the roots of your emotions and experiences, and work through issues you might otherwise struggle to deal with. I see clients in Manchester City Centre, Chorlton & Didsbury and offer Zoom, Skype, FaceTime, WhatsApp & Telephone sessions.
I am a BACP Registered Therapist, and a qualified Person Centred Counsellor. I have over 2 years’ experience of working with clients at Macmillan Wellbeing Centre, a part of Pennine NHS Trust that supports people and their families affected by Cancer or other life limiting conditions.
Prior to this I spent several years working for a national mental health charity. During this period, I helped to support people with a range of anxiety issues including: Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety, Agoraphobia, and Specific Phobias.
My first session
I offer a 30 minute Initial Assessment session for £25. This is an opportunity for you to meet me and see if you feel I am someone you can work with in future therapy sessions. You can also find out more about the type of therapy I provide, and feel confident that the Person Centred is appropriate for your needs at this point in time.
