About me and my therapy practice
I am a warm and effective counsellor, and systemic practitioner, with experience of working with people of differing genders, ages, cultures and classes; neurodivergent and neurotypical.
Using an integration of a wide range of approaches to counselling and psychotherapy, I work closely with you to achieve the goals that are important to you at a depth and pace that suits you.
I am experienced working with adults of all ages, as well as young people from secondary school age upwards.
Having worked extensively in education with children with difficulties, I have seen how little support parents often receive and just how much difference it can make, especially when the children are struggling or not ready to engage in therapy themselves. A parent or caregiver is more present and able to help their child when they are supported themselves - and they are the ones there 24/7
I am currently offering staff supervision within schools to again support those supporting our more vulnerable young people.
I also bring a passion for the healing that reconnecting with nature can bring whether that is bringing nature into the therapy room or bringing therapy outdoors. This can be anything from walk and talk therapy in Exeter or Crediton to ecotherapy on private land just into North Devon.
I have a first-class honours degree in counselling and have completed two family therapy trainings qualifying as a systemic practitioner.
Contact me for a low cost initial assessment session. It is very important that you feel you can feel comfortable with and able to trust the therapist you choose for yourself.
My rates are on a sliding scale from £50 to £75, which I trust to you to decide, depending on your financial circumstances. I do offer a high quality of counselling and many of my peers set higher rates, however, I believe in therapy being as accessible as possible. If it means the difference between you accessing therapy or not then please ask about concessionary spaces.
