About me and my therapy practice
Life can have its challenges and at times can feel overwhelming. Taking that first step to sharing your thoughts and feelings can also be difficult. I am able to offer a quiet and confidential space for you to explore what’s going on for you at this time and help you to restore a sense of balance in your life.
Practice description
As a qualified and experienced counsellor I work integratively which means I will use elements from different approaches to help you. I believe you are a unique person and will tailor our work accordingly.
Some people like to work for a short time, around six sessions, while others prefer a longer amount of time. I can be flexible to what you may prefer.
I am experienced in counselling where anxiety and low mood concerns are present. I am also an experienced counsellor working within a local charity supporting those who have experienced trauma in their lives.
My first session
When you make an initial phone contact we will set a date and time for a free 20 minutes appointment to discuss what you looking for.
Our first session will be a time to discuss what brings you to counselling and I will complete an assessment with some questions around your past and present circumstances.
We will also arrange the sessions and a short term plan.
