About me and my therapy practice
I am a UKCP accredited integrative therapist providing a warm, supportive and non-judgmental space for you to bring whatever you need to talk about. As every client and situation is different, I will do my best to bring a mixed approach to our sessions depending on what works best for you.
I am there to listen to you with empathy and to help you think about your feelings, however difficult they may be. I have experience of working with a wide range of issues and I will work collaboratively with you, focusing on developing an honest therapeutic relationship based on mutual respect. I do this by talking together about you and your life. You may need to do this for a short time or perhaps longer, there is no rush. The important thing is for you to have a safe and healthy environment to speak freely. I aim to work in a way that will support you as you address any difficult issues and support you to explore new or different ways of living your life and relationships.
I offer therapy to individuals from a variety of cultural, social and religious backgrounds and I offer both short and long-term counselling to suit your needs. There is no fixed duration for treatment. You can come to explore a specific topic or to explore yourself on a wider level. It is completely up to you. Coming from a Latin American bilingual background, I offer therapy in both Spanish and English. My sessions are 50 minutes long, usually on a weekly basis although this can be discussed.
If you decide to book an initial session, we will explore what brings you to therapy or counselling. At the end of that session, you can decide whether the type of therapy I offer is the right fit for you. I will then usually suggest we work together for a period of at least 6 weeks and then assess what frequency will best support you.

My first session
Our initial session together, charged at the usual rate, lasts for 50 minutes; it gives you the opportunity to see if I am the right therapist for you and if you feel comfortable working with me.
During the session, we will use the time to explore what you would like to gain from the therapeutic process, and for me to gain a better understanding of your presenting issues or concerns. You are free to share whatever feels comfortable.
If we choose to continue working together, we will arrange a mutually convenient day and time for our regular sessions.
