About me and my therapy practice
A really warm welcome to you.
We all develop coping strategies throughout our lives, but when they stop working it can be difficult to figure out what to do next.
I am an experienced Integrative Counsellor, Cognitive Hypnotherapist and NLP Master Practitioner working full time in private practice in the Richmond and Twickenham area.
Many of my clients have come to me feeling low, tired, stuck and unmotivated. Some come having not been able to sleep or concentrate. Not knowing what to do next can leave you feeling powerless.
I provide a supportive and caring environment to explore any difficulties or challenges you might be facing and support you to make the changes you want in your life. Putting the client first, I work in an open, non-judgemental and objective way, drawing on a range of approaches including Person centred, Gestalt, CBT Transactional Analysis, Psychodynamic, Existential and Relational.
I have worked with a broad range of issues, am a counsellor for Richmond Borough Mind and previously ASCA (Addiction Support and Care Agency), The Mulberry Centre offering individual counselling to patients, their carers, and those bereaved through cancer and West Middlesex Hospital NHS Trust providing emotional support to patients and their families.
I am an Anxiety UK approved therapist trained to work with anxiety disorders.
My first session
The first step can be the hardest and I appreciate that you may feel anxious as to what to expect, or unsure if you are ready to take that step.
I believe a good relationship between therapist and client plays an important part in therapy so offer a 20 minute session, via phone or zoom to see if working together feels right for you. It also offers you the opportunity to ask any questions, to get a sense of what you are looking for from therapy and how I may support you.
I offer face to face clients with covid restrictions in place from my therapy room in Richmond and am continuing to work with clients on line via Skype or Zoom and telephone. I also offer Walk and Talk Therapy locally.
What I can help with
Abuse, Addictions, Anger management, Anxiety, Bereavement, Cancer, Chronic fatigue syndrome / ME, Depression, Eating disorders, Health related issues, Infertility, Life coaching, Loss, Obsessions, OCD, Personal development, Phobias, Post-traumatic stress, Pregnancy related issues, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Self-harm, Service veterans, Spirituality, Stress, Trauma, Women's issues, Work related issues
Types of therapy
Behavioural, CBT, Cognitive, Existential, Gestalt, Humanistic, Integrative, Neuro linguistic programming, Person centred, Psychodynamic, Solution focused brief therapy
