About me and my therapy practice
Hi, my name's Mike. I'm a down to earth, easy to talk to, non-judgemental therapist. I'm a Person-Centred counsellor that puts you and your wants and needs at the centre of the whole process.
I like to work collaboratively with you to understand you, and help you to develop more self-awareness so that you can make better, more informed choices that will serve you best.
Your goals are my goals, you decide what you want and need and we will explore how you might get there in such a way that works for you.
I will work at your pace and with your agenda, so you are in control at every stage.
Practice description
I have a lovely warm and cosy office in Barnton, Cheshire with lots of free parking and toilet facilities.
I can also work on-line and over the phone if you prefer.

The first session will consist of an "Assessment of needs" in order for me to find out more about you and what you are hoping to achieve from the process. It is also a great opportunity for you to decide if you feel like you can work with me or not.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a non-judgemental, caring and easy to talk to Person-Centred Counsellor. I've worked with a range of adults for over eight years, helping them to reach their individual goals and find inner peace.
Everyone is different and I feel like it's my job to really try to understand you and what you want and need to get from the counselling process, rather than you being told what you need.
I will work at your pace and with your agenda to understand what's going on for you in such a way that you will understand yourself better and be able to find new and helpful ways to resolve whatever it is that you are looking to work on.
I'm fascinated by psychology and it's impact on human behaviour. It is said that all human behaviour is a product of our state of mind. Unfortunately, our mind, particularly the sub-conscious develops many unhelpful beliefs and strategies as a result of our experiences which may serve us for a while, but at some point, no longer allow us to live a healthy, free and fulfilled life.
So, when these strategies, behaviours and feelings are causing too much friction, conflict and unease, in any shape or form, I believe that I can help you to understand yourself better and change for the better.
My clients have told me that I'm very empathic, understanding and helpful. Please feel free to ask me anything.
Practice description
I'm based in a very welcoming, cosy room which is based in the Northwich area.

About me and my therapy practice
Hi there and welcome. My name's Mike and I am a person-centred therapist who puts you and your needs at the centre of everything we do. I'm down to earth, personable, non-judgemental, a great listener and therefore very easy to talk to.
I help to explore the reasons that bring you to counselling in a sensitive way, offering empathy whilst helping you to understand yourself and/or others better and together we can discuss strategies that may help you to get to wherever it is you want to get to.
I work with all ages of adult individuals as well as couples and work with a wide range of issues from anxiety, depression, bereavement, life changes incidents and life stresses.
I understand that seeking counselling and approaching a counsellor can be difficult which is why I offer a free twenty minute assessment so that I can be sure that I can help you and you can also check me out to see if I'm right for you?
Also, if there's anything else you want to know, then please feel free to ask. Thank you and take care. Mike.
Practice description
My counselling room is a small (cosy) space located in Barnton Pentecostal Church / Life Church. I have no affiliation or connection to the church, I simply rent an office in the building. I have my own private room which is used purely for counselling and is a very private and comfortable place where I'm sure you'll feel at ease. I will provide hand sanitiser, drinking water and tissues, however, please feel free to bring your own.
There is plenty of free parking round the back of the building, a ramp for wheelchair access and there are toilets on site.
My first session
After welcoming you in and hopefully putting you at ease, I will start the session with an assessment of your needs to see if we can work well together. It is really important that you feel comfortable opening up to me, therefore I give you an opportunity to leave with absolutely no cost or obligation to continue after we have completed the assessment.
If we both agree to continue then we can complete a full hour and I will work at your pace so I'm lead by whatever you want to share with me, you don't need to tell me everything straight away, if you're unsure, I understand that it may take time for you to trust me and open up fully?
