About me and my therapy practice
I offer face-to-face and online (via WhatsApp and zoom) counselling therapy for those facing long-term illnesses, chronic pain, suicidal feelings, bereavement and people who suffer difficult and overwhelming feelings of anxiety, depression, loss and helplessness.
I offer a safe space to be listened to and I work collaboratively with my clients to help support them through difficult times.
As a long-term sufferer of an incurable degenerative autoimmune disease, I understand some of the challenges that life poses. My reasons for getting into counselling were to help support people with their own challenges whatever they may be.
I am a qualified counsellor in Humanistic Counselling based on Transactional Analysis and I am a member of the BACP. I also offer nlp (Neuro-Linguistic programming) therapy, this helps those with phobias, fears, tumour and anxieties amongst other condition that can impact your life on a daily basis.
I also work as a volunteer counsellor for a local charity and have my own private practice working from my home in a quiet village setting. In this current climate, I am offering my sessions from my garden, in order to ensure social distancing guidelines are being adhered to appropriately.
Practice description
I believe that given the right help and environment, we can all make choices and changes in our lives no matter what is thrown at us.
Many of us get stuck in a spiral of unhelpful patterns of thinking and actions.
I provide a safe space for you to unravel your thought processes to make improved choices and navigate through turbulent times.
I aim to help my clients grow, develop their self-agency and autonomy, and update their scrip. Helping you to become the best you can be emotionally, relationally and psychologically.
My approach is open, honest, caring and direct.
My first session
The first consultation is 1 hour and is free of charge. This allows us an opportunity to meet and discuss what you would like to achieve from Counselling.
