About me and my therapy practice
At times we may feel overwhelmed and unable to cope with the demands of life. Relationships with family, friends or work colleagues may be strained leaving us feeling unhappy, anxious or depressed. When it feels as though life is getting on top of us, speaking with a qualified counsellor can help move our lives forward.
I am a qualified, experienced Integrative counsellor offering a confidential and non-judgemental counselling and psychotherapy service for adults and young people (18+). In addition to face-to-face counselling sessions, I also work remotely via telephone or online using Zoom.
I believe we each have individual and unique needs and as an Integrative Counsellor, I am able to draw from a range of approaches to best suit the needs of each individual client. However, I view therapy as a collaborative process where working together we can raise awareness around any issues you may be currently facing, as well as working through any historic, unresolved issues which still impact your life and well-being today.
At a pace you are comfortable with we will explore your situation and understand how it impacts your life today. Achieving deeper awareness and clarity about your situation through therapy, can offer a new perspective. Better understanding of yourself and how you relate to others can improve your sense of wellbeing and enable you to take more control of your life and the choices you make. If you feel I can help you, do please get in touch by email or telephone and I will respond as soon as possible.
Practice description
My qualifications include a Diploma in Humanistic Gestalt Counselling and a BA in Humanistic Integrative Counselling and to maintain skills and knowledge, I am committed to Continuing Professional Development.
I have experience in working with clients who sought support in managing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, bereavement and loss, relationship difficulties and issues relating to work.
I offer one-to-one counselling sessions to adults (18+). Sessions last fifty-minutes and are face-to-face, online or telephone appointments from my dedicated therapy room in Romsey, Hampshire. This is easily accessed from Southampton, Winchester and Eastleigh. Free parking is available.
I am fully insured, DBS checked and registered with the Information Commissioner's Office. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
My first session
Taking those first steps, deciding to seek support, finding a counsellor and making the initial contact can all be rather daunting. Feeling comfortable and able to work with your chosen counsellor is crucial.
With this in mind, I offer a 30 minute phone or Zoom call which does not incur a charge. This is an opportunity for you to gauge whether you feel comfortable, establish if I am the right counsellor for you and enable us both to gain a sense of how we might work together.
If you feel I can help, do get in touch via telephone or email and I will respond as soon as possible.
