🔊 Your Story Matters

The pain you’re feeling isn’t random. It’s rooted in past experiences that may have felt too overwhelming to face. Recurring negative beliefs often trace back to trauma—whether from childhood or abusive adult relationships. These experiences can lead to Complex PTSD, leaving you feeling emotionally distressed, dissociated, or stuck in toxic stress cycles.

I see you. I hear you.

Let’s work together to integrate these unresolved emotions and start healing from within. 🧡

I am listening—tell me your story.

Are you carrying unseen scars of emotional abuse, neglect in childhood, relationship breakdowns or divorce?

These life-altering events are more than painful memories. They can manifest as anxiety, panic attacks, and even flashbacks that make it feel like the trauma is happening all over again. 😣

But you don’t have to face this alone. A strong client-therapist alliance can create a safe space for healing. 🌱 Let me help you find that safety.

👉 Ready to start healing? Let’s talk.

💡 This is Your Path to Healing

Complex trauma can make relationships feel unsafe, whether with yourself or others. But here’s the good news: You *can* heal, and you CAN build healthy relationships again.

I use Attachment-Focused EMDR Therapy to work with the distressing thoughts and feelings that arise in our sessions. Together, we will face them—one by one—and slowly reclaim your sense of control. 🌸

If you are feeling stuck, it’s time to take that first step.

🌿 Reclaim Your Life 🌿

Healing from trauma is a deeply personal journey, but it’s also one of reconnection—reconnecting with your mind, body, and your own inner strength. 💪 Through our work together, you will learn to stay calm, put your trauma to rest, and move forward with self-compassion and healthy boundaries. 🌼

Your past doesn’t define you. It’s time to prioritize yourself, rebuild, and embrace a future filled with peace and empowerment. 💖

About me and my therapy practice

📖 The Story Behind ‘Therapy in Pyjamas’

Let me share a little backstory about how this unique program came to life...

For over 10 years, I’ve been helping clients untangle the distress and confusion in their relationships. As my caseload grew, I started noticing a pattern. I was using the same interventions and sharing the same insights over and over. It was like hitting ‘replay’ on every session.

That’s when inspiration struck. I realised I could package my most effective tools and insights into a program—a program that takes clients step-by-step through a reliable, proven journey. And it works every single time.

Now, let me bring you into the world of Attachment Theory, a concept that was developed by John Bowlby in the 1940s and 1950s. It’s based on this powerful idea: the way you were cared for as a child shapes how you connect with others as an adult.

Working with hundreds of clients over the years, I learned some eye-opening truths:

💥 So many people don’t know about attachment or how it silently influences relationships.

💥 The insights I share aren’t just for therapy—they’re life-changing lessons that benefit everyone.

💥 Once my clients understand these principles, the real magic happens. Therapy becomes focused on deep healing, using everything I’ve learned—personally and professionally—to guide them through transformation.

This program isn’t just about understanding the “why” behind your patterns—it’s integrated with EMDR Intensive Therapy to resolve the emotional pain tied to those old, unresolved trauma memories. It’s the ultimate combination:

Then came the question: What do I call it?

The answer didn’t come easily… until one morning, my first online client showed up in their pyjamas.

And suddenly, it clicked.

👌“Perfect!” I thought.

✨ And that’s how Therapy in Pyjamas™ was born—a program designed to bring comfort, clarity, and lasting change to your life, whether you’re curled up on your sofa or ready to dive deep into transformation.

My first session

It is normal to feel nervous or anxious before your first session,  particularly if this is your first experience of therapy. It can take a while to get used to the situation but almost all clients report feeling significant ease as the session goes on. It can be a relief to talk about difficult issues with someone who is understanding, who withholds judgment and with whom you do not have an emotional attachment.

I understand what it's like to feel self-conscious, vulnerable, anxious and tearful. It is also okay and normal to feel no anxiety or sadness.

You might be surprised at how teary you are...

It is quite common to feel tearful because of the intensity of feelings but it is completely normal especially after having to hold so much, often for a long time. The tears might be as much about relief as about expressing sadness.

We aren't very good at dealing with tears in this society because we tend to be self-conscious about crying in front of others. Know that this is normal too. You might like to have some tissues handy in case you feel tearful.

There are many benefits to working online. Get yourself a comfortable seat in a space that feels safe for you in the comfort of your own home.

Getting started

The initial phase involves getting to know you and building a healthy trusting therapeutic relationship. I explain how we work, and clarify the boundaries. The session aims to have an agreed focus of work for future sessions. It is usual to have gained some insights, perspective and food for thought by the end of the first session. I will need to know your personal information, physical or mental health issues, medication, and your family background (parents, siblings, partners, children etc.). It is also important for me to know whether you have had any suicidal thoughts, attempts and/or self-harm or if you have encountered suicide or self-harm in a family member or friend.
