How I Work
I believe that therapy should feel like a safe and supportive space—one where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours without fear of judgment. Whether you’re struggling with anxious thoughts, self-doubt, or past experiences that continue to affect your present, I’m here to help you make sense of what’s going on and find a way forward.
Here are some of the approaches I draw from to meet your individual needs:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): A structured, solution-focused approach, that helps you reframe negative thinking patterns and develop healthier coping strategies.By blending these approaches, I help you develop a greater understanding of yourself, break free from limiting patterns, and build resilience in the face of life’s challenges.
What You Can Expect
Therapy with me is not a “one-size-fits-all” approach. Every client is unique, so I take the time to understand your personal history, experiences, and goals.
In our sessions, you can expect:
- A warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space.
- A collaborative process where we explore what’s keeping you stuck.
- Practical strategies to manage anxiety and improve emotional well-being.
- Deep insight into past experiences and how they shape your present.
- Gentle but effective ways to challenge unhelpful thoughts and behaviours.
My first session
Over our first two sessions, we’ll dive deeper into the areas you’d like support with, exploring the answers you provided on the initial call & questionnaire.
You’ll have space to share your thoughts, and I’ll offer an insight into what the next 4 sessions look like.
At the end of the session, we’ll reflect on your experience, and you’ll have the chance to ask any questions before deciding whether to continue.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): A skills-based approach teaching emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and mindfulness to help you manage intense emotions.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy: Techniques improving present-moment awareness and self-compassion, reducing the impact of anxiety and stress.
Psychodynamic Psychotherapy: A deeper exploration of how past experiences and unconscious patterns influence your present-day thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT/Tapping): A mind-body approach that combines elements of exposure therapy with acupressure tapping to help release emotional distress and calm the nervous system.
By blending these approaches, I help you develop a greater understanding of yourself, break free from limiting patterns, and build resilience in the face of life’s challenges.
