I currently have space on Thursday daytimes at my Lewes practice.

About me and my therapy practice

Beginning counselling and psychotherapy can be daunting, but I aim to offer a safe and holding environment within which you can begin to talk about and work through issues that you are struggling with. I work from the premise that we all have unconscious thoughts that can live with us for years, can influence our behaviour and can impact on our ability to form or maintain relationships. Through our work together I hope that by bringing some of these thoughts and feelings into consciousness you can begin to gain insight into the areas of your life which are causing you pain.

As a psychodynamic counsellor I believe in the importance of exploring how early experiences shape us, and in my practice I will encourage you to explore, through our relationship, how we might use this insight to understand the place you find yourself in now.

You needn’t be in crisis to attend counselling: it is a confidential space in which you can explore your thoughts and feelings, new or old. There might be areas of your life you need to understand further and experiences that you want to make sense of in order to live a fuller life.

I undertake regular trainings, including around working in an LGBTQ+ affirmative way, working with gender difference, supporting clients with ADHD diagnosis and I am qualified to offer CBT alongside my psychodynamic work.
