About me and my therapy practice
I offer a flexible approach to appointments and a relaxed confidential space for sessions. My practice has allowed me to help clients of all ages from all backgrounds with wide ranging issues. Life is good at throwing problems our way and counselling can help to make sense of what's happening. I enjoy helping people achieve their goals, improve their quality of life and their work life balance. Giving people a space where they can be heard and respected, coach them to overcome the challenges of modern life.
As a systemically trained counsellor I pay attention to what is happening in your world right now, what is influencing your life and thoughts. Believing that change is always possible given the right conditions exist for that change to thrive and embed. It follows that one of the most important points to me is that my clients are given a safe, confidential space where they can explore their concerns, but where they are valued, accepted and given compassion.
I consider my approach to be what is termed “integrative” where I use a blend of theory and techniques from the Person-Centred, Solution Focused, Systemic schools of counselling and psychotherapy. Practising from this approach I am able to adapt my way of working with clients to the unique needs and wishes of the individual. I am interested in how relationships have influenced you and your perception of what is happening in your world; this is including people who might have had influence on you in your early life. Very important are those people you have around you today as they can apply great influence either positive or negative affecting your daily decisions.

About me and my therapy practice
Supervision is an important space in any professionals practice where we are allowed to grow and be challenged, offload confidentially and be heard in a supportive environment. I work with counsellors, both experienced therapists and students in placements as part of their training. I am also able to offer regular supervision to clinicians, staff and managers in all areas of social care. I work in 1:1 or group settings and offer a consultant service to companies or organisations from a wider range of contexts wishing to look at supporting staff and promoting best practice and a nurturing environment.
Practice description
I believe strongly that supervision should be about a free space where we are balancing support for practitioners with good challenge to help us to build our professional skills. As supervisor and supervisee, we collaborate to enable us to create a space in which reflection on our work and learning from those reflections can take place easily. My objective is to help you to develop your skills and offer the best parts of yourself in your practice with your clients.
I offer my work from a place where it is acknowledged that supervision is a process in its own right and is not linked to any particular way of working in therapy or practice. I consider my role to be as a facilitator of the process, supporter of your own learning which are building on the basis of a sound supervisory relationship between us.
