About me and my therapy practice
If you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, loss, low self esteem, relationship problems with others, feeling isolated or alone, feeling never ‘good enough’ or battling with addiction this could be due to your attachment pattern. How we view ourself in relation to others and the world around us affects us in everyday life.
I am a qualified BA (hons) Integrative Counsellor with 8 years of experience both in private practice and for the NHS.
Being an integrative counsellor means I draw from different theories such as Humanistic, Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic including attachment theory and DBT skills, which enables me to tailor every session specifically for each individual.
Working with attachment helps us to discover why we feel how we do and how to change it going forward.
I offer a client-centred practice with empathy and caring. I recognise the client/therapist relationship is paramount to gaining insight, managing challenges, coping with changes and to dealing with pain. I will be there for you.
I offer a warm, safe, non-judgemental space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. Everyone is unique and we all have inner strengths and tools personal to us. It's my aim to help you uncover yours and empower you to use them. Together we can make sense of and change what's happening for you now, but also make a lasting impact on your future.
I was inspired to enter into the world of counselling after realising I was going round and round in my own life and never achieving change. I had my own personal therapy and life finally changed for me.
Our work can be either long or short term and we meet virtually over a secure platform.
I appreciate how difficult that first call to a counsellor can be, so if you’d prefer, please email or text and we can arrange a free introductory call. It is fundamental that you and I feel we can work together and that you feel comfortable and safe
