About me and my therapy practice
Highly experienced, kind, patient, relatable, trauma-informed, and intuitive therapist who has been helping others to improve their mental health and wellbeing ever since qualifying as a Holistic Therapist way back in 1998. I will always provide my clients with a safe, empathic, caring, non-judgemental space where they can begin to explore any aspects of their life that are troubling them.
Since initially qualifying as a person-centred counsellor, I would now describe my approach as integrative, and always holistically tailored to my client’s needs.
Practice description
Over the past 9 years I have provided counselling for Leicester Women’s Counselling Centre, and First Step - who support male survivors of sexual abuse and rape. I currently provide short term counselling and emotional support to university students, so understand the specific difficulties this client group may be experiencing. I have vast experience of working with anxiety, depression, issues relating to abusive relationships, sexual abuse/rape, and complex trauma. I regularly attend CPD workshops and specialised training in order to support and enhance my practice. More recently I have completed some specific training which has enhanced my understanding of working with neurodiversity.
My first session
A comprehensive assessment will be carried out on the first session allowing us to decide together if it is appropriate for the sessions to continue. The assessment session can last anywhere between 30 minutes and 1 hour, and the standard fee for this is £30.00.
